Noel Poniewaz

Manager of Customer Experience

Noel Poniewaz Bio

Ms. Poniewaz has over a decade of experience working with higher education products. She has expertise with onboarding of new and transfer loans, servicing maintenance, and collections of defaulted loans. Ms. Poniewaz joined MOHELA in 2011 and has successfully on boarded over $33 billion of student loans under the Direct Loan Program including portfolio transfers from prior servicers. In 2016 Ms. Poniewaz began managing the team responsible for account maintenance processes including Deferment, Forbearances, Enrollment, and NSLDS enrollment reporting. She has successfully implemented efficiencies for processing tasks by utilizing scripting and automation to reduce manual review which in turn improved customer experience with reduced processing times. She has also participated in management groups focused on cost cutting initiatives. Ms. Poniewaz is excited to bring her skills to knowledge finance to help establish the same first-class customer experience for Income Share Agreement students who take advantage of alternative financing options to continue their higher education.
